Impact of Seawater Intrusion on Freshwater Quality in Coastal Area of South Kalimantan

Climate change and sea level rise as both have the potential to affect saltwater intrusion into coastal area. The aim of this study is finding seawater influence on area freshwater. To purpose, it conducted groundwater aquifer freshwater its electrical characteristics by resistivity survey in Muara Asam-Asam Village, South Kalimantan. It channeled from three different positions find impacts well water quality. data interpreted analyzed based two-dimensional mapping distribution subsurface values. At a distance 100 m shoreline, experienced at depth 1.24 – 9.68 with thickness 8.44 meters values 1.17 4.20 Ωm. Furthermore, 200 0.80-5.14 4.34 value 0.26-4.70 Finally, 300 shoreline free intrusion. Meanwhile, physical parameter consumption monitor quality for settlement around Mean TDS, turbidity pH are 124.03 mg/L, 5.80 NTU 6.80 respectively. Both TDS meet health requirements, but not value.
